The Grand Priory will keep the feast of Blessed Adrian Fortescue with Holy Mass on the evening of 8 July 2026. Blessed Adrian, a knight of our Order, was martyred by Henry VIII, and in 1993, when the Grand Priory of England was restored, was named our patron. The Mass will be celebrated in the crypt of St John’s Priory, Clerkenwell, the surviving part of our mediaeval priory, with which Blessed Adrian would have been familiar. We are grateful to our friends in the Venerable Order of St John, in whose care the priory now rests, for welcoming us.
